Not sure how many knows about this, but I learned it from NickDanger~TAG back in the old days. If you for any reason should want to move a long distance in one direction inside a map, but need to leave your computer for a while (for instance for as long as it takes to have a cig outside in the garden), do the following...:

- Make sure NumLock is turned OFF
- Press the forward numeric arrow key while you turn NumLock ON

Now you should be moving forward constantly. You can adjust the direction with your mouse before you leave the computer. To turn this feature off again when you return to the computer, simply turn NumLock OFF and then press the forward numeric arrow key, and your movement will stop.

The same thing can be done for the other numeric arrow keys, if you for some reason would like to move sideways or backwards instead, lol...

Actually, the same thing should be possible for all the numeric keys, so if one should want to re-program some of the original DF2 commands to use the num keys instead, they could be turned on like one can for the arrow keys. Not sure how practical it would be to for instance have the night vision or the commander's screen turned on/off constantly, though...
